Planning on surprising the squirrel population here, as soon as it cools off a bit.
Do you have a cheap, but decent recommendation?

Are the Gamo and Benjamin units any good?
Longest shots are going to be less than 50 yards.

I don't know about Gamo but Benjamin's are junk. Had an entire scope mount fall off because the factory welds are junk. Just junk in general. For cheap, I'd go with the Beeman qb78s. It's a CO2 powered unit and is fairly accurate for a decent number of shots till the pressure drops. If you want to stay with a break barrel design then the Sig is about as cheap as I'd go. Otherwise a cheap .177 bb/ pellet gun is probably in order but accuracy is definitely not there so them squirrels might be laughing at you lol

Got the old Crosman pump that I keep for scaring stray dogs away.
If I can watch the pellet in flight, its probably too slow and weak for what I'm wanting.
No problem with using whatever out here in the sticks, just dont want to pepper them with a shotgun. Plus the noise. Would rather keep it quiet.

Still havent figured it out.
Even if I was drunk AND STONED, I could make something better than that hacked hunk of horse crap.

All my air rifles are .22 including the Beeman but the Beeman is only good for about 25 yds max which probably would be good for them squirrels if your squirrels are like the ones up here. They are stupid and get close. It works great on chipmunks too

Get you a RWS 350 Magnum in .177 or .22

Mine is .177 and just blisters squirrels, chipmunks, possums, cats, etc, etc.
