Got my ute a Warrant of Fitness today. Once yearly safety inspection.
Is this a thing in all the different regions we cover? I know @Wonkydonkey has a MOT, but what about the rest of y'all?

Here in Wisconsin you drive until chit falls off.
Then, you continue on until it bursts into flames.

Unless it's under factory warranty.
Then you bring it in for the 1 time you didn't like the way the transmission shifted 3 weeks ago and demand it be repaired.

No yearly inspection here in the land shaped like a hand. SOP is much as Ed described except the explosion is usually biggerer because of the meth lab in the back seat.

possibly but only the crying Dalls have a problem with the same filter thats been used for what 30 years ?
I've been iside many old saws of many brands. All had, what I would call, pathetic air filters. None of them were destroyed by fines. They all ran after some carb love and fuel lines. Some of those saws were definitely heavy use by homeowners that liked making saw dust. I'm sure many of you have seen way more than Myself messing with saws. I don't hear of fines ruining engines. Have any of you seen anything like that 500i picture? Thats a saw that was over heated with *s-worde oil in my opinion. Based on some of my test results with oils.

Morning bungholes.

The fresh painted walls in the shop at work are already peeling.

No inspection here in Tennessee. If we had that, the meth heads wouldn't have anything to drive to the pain clinics to get their pills.

*s-word oil. Overheating. And maybe a few fines cooked in. But way more going on than just fine ingestion.

I wanna respond over on THE saw forum about this but I'm not getting sucked into another oil / Stihl filter debate. I'm just going to put a custom flexible snorkel on all my saws with a two stage Donaldson filter set up like my Kubota. Place the flilter in a back pack or hang it up in a tree in the clean air.

Edit...

Plus the vacuum hose I'll use has all those performance enhancing ridges......for keeping the fuel in an atomized state.
