when i started we could do alot more without being wrote up or fired but now its ignorant stuff at times
and all because some college educated whiny Dall trying to show what they are worth
just because they get a job in safety
i do things safe as possible but there are times it takes 5 times longer
the latest thing is safety glasses with foam around the edges that make it where you cant see in all directions and fog up

between that stupid *s-word and the extra money for night shift is why i want on nights when they start night shift on the outage

The extra BS makes me oblige them to the tune of more hours. I still take troubleshooting and fixing as a challenge but that's such a small part of my job nowadays.

Every time we get a new Process Engineer they ask "Can we...(insert thing last five PEs tried but didn't log as a spectacular waste of time, as advised by ops).
If it's just button pushing for me and explanations to higher up for them then I do it.
If it involves outside guys, which is me half the time, then I pipe up to save hours of potentially dangerous physical work.
