I put the hook on the handle and wind both halves around before laying it in it's storage place. Tape or a zip tie here would make it stay permanent until you're ready for it to get used again. I'm not ocd, just like to be able to grab what I need, when I need it and not waste a lot of time getting it. It shouldn't take longer finding/getting the tool you need than it is to do the job with it in my line of thinking.
This is what I do.

So,
Which one of you ocd mf'ers has a fairly quick and decent way to store ratchet straps?
I have yet to come up with something that doesn't end up a twisted disaster.
I shall provide you at some point today, pics of my ocd method of madness to this wordly problem…stay tuned! Lol
