No wonder why I'm so forkin dizzy.but you have to do things over and over again
I'm doin the same. Came in for a quick cold one. The only one in the fridge.Well the heat has arrived. Got up early before the heat and drug a few more ash logs out of the woods for the firewood shed build. Time for a sit down and probably the coldest beer I can find in the fridgeView attachment 300723

Upgrade or replacement vent on the Harley Ferguson John? How come there's pressure at all?Just did a oil change and installed a primary vent kit on the old Hog. Got some ribs to attend to on the smoker then pool time for the fat kid. View attachment 300749View attachment 300750
Upgrade but not a recall. Not a factory vent in the transmission. Transmission builds pressure and sumps oil into the primary. This little kit eliminates the problem. Just have to drill a 11/32" hole in upper corner of case and install a rubber vent hose.Upgrade or replacement vent on the Harley Ferguson John? How come there's pressure at all?
Heat builds pressure, has to go somewhere. Axles, transmissions ect. on vehicles have vents for this reason. Without them they could build enough pressure to leak past the seals.Upgrade or replacement vent on the Harley Ferguson John? How come there's pressure at all?
Ah yeah, but John's pic appeared to show a dry drive. Makes perfect sense that the wet gearbox is venting to the primary if it's poorly vented originally, just wasn't immediately obvious to me which side was the issue StevO.Heat builds pressure, has to go somewhere.
