Evening guys, if you have any cares left to share please keep the former residents of the town of Lytton BC in your thoughts and prayers. In the news earlier in the week for breaking Canadian high temp records, including beating Las Vegas record for highest recorded temp is now on fire. Reports are that they entire town has been lost. No word yet on if everyone got out safely.

What's up chatty benches....

I made a redneck organizer for my gear today.

Zip ties, plywood, and milk crates for the win

Beats throwing everything in a pile in the back seat and easy to remove if I needs to haul people instead of gear back there. Although I'm a little worried someone might break in and try to steal that valuable plywood.
Just you, or a groundy too Brad?

Morning fellas,

I had the chance to change the discs on the car yesterday, they were just a bit rusty and uneven, the last MOT (car inspection) it was pointed out it would need doing some time soon. And of course I needed a bfh, it’s never a simple job.

Yep. Definitely summer here.
Busy at work. Going into the July 4th holiday weekend, which means I'm working a shutdown all weekend and into next week instead of celebrating.
Gearing up for that. Making sure the crew has all the necessary training etc has been a pain.
Top of that, my day started out with a fatal accident on the road in front of our house.
Young man was only 24.
Was told he was hit broadside after running a stop sign. Saw by the accident examiners marks he was actually meeting the bus in the opposite lane. Lost control in the curve and was hit on the passenger side as he skidded across.
Getting old I guess.
Seeing a life cut short that young bothers me more than it used to.
Not sure why. Not like I knew him or anything. Just seems a shame.

We are a couple thousand klicks away from that fire. We do have a massive chlorine chemical fire burning on the other side of town. 25kms across town and we could see the smoke until the sun went down.
Is that supposed to make me feel better? Chemical fire fallout ain't no fun either mate.

The old days vs nights battle huh.

Well we use to have some cold burn grease soaked left overs but we have an extra 25 people on first now since they bought a company last year and someone didn't up the order.

I personally haven't partaken since move off first because I find it completely BS after I asked why don't the other shifts get a hot meal and being told well come in when we're cooking.

Yeah the can *f-word off.

Rant over.
