Anybody ever mix a little 2 stroke oil in with their diesel? More than one person has told me it's good for the injector pumps n such. I don't do it but curious if anybody has. Just run off road and add biobor if the jugs will be sitting awhile
I run actual Diesel fuel lubricity additive / injector cleaner along with anti gel and anti algae treatment. However many gallons I put in the bulk tank each year is what I dose to. I've read tests where some 2 stroke oils are actually worse than nothing at all and none are better than a dedicated diesel fuel lubricity treatment.

At the refinery bro.
We did have trouble with some Nissan pumps when we dropped from 50ppm to 10ppm sulphur, the internal o-rings reacted with the additive, but that all got sorted pretty quick. No other dramas.
I wonder if its the same here? At our refineries.

+1 On the lubricity and cetane improvers. Asphaltene conditioners are also recommended. Wouldn't recommend bio bor// algae treatment unless you have known algae contamination.
Good to know. My "bulk" tank is 50 gallons and stored inside my garage. I just used the bio stuff as a precaution. Ive never had algae before I started using it. I also use a cetane booster.
