how many more acres left for first cutting
some of these *pretty boyes around here are washing their hay more than once
but then again they seem to get the hay rained on every year
they have never been very smart and can tear up just about anything they touch

I have about 12 more acres to bale tomorrow. Then I'm gonna wait a few weeks to cut again. The clover is so thick in the next couple of fields that I'm worried it won't dry with the cool nights we are having.

Yo lads.
Sooooo, one of the HP Boilers tripped out mysteriously during a routine fuel change at 12:01:07 today. Adz got busy!! Turned out the feed cable to the instrument "fell out". Had to get a 'Pat' to re-wire it.
I'll post some pics up later (once i find some on reddit or summint......).

I thought cattle couldn’t eat clover?

Looks like we have a plugged orifice in a valve. Hydraulic interlocking one has to open before another. Probably a bit of trash, pipe scale or something. May have it resolved shortly and a hot restart. Lava is still hot.
Yeah hope you get it sorted out soon I bet the boss wasn’t to happy

Just under 3.5 and the woods are pretty dense. Been slowly trying to clear out the dead trees to make room for the rest to grow. There's alot to do yet. Plenty to keep me busy
I wish firewood collection was that east for me .I have to go to the state forest to get mine

So this Boiler trip.
My inside job has three 43bar Stork HP boilers as part of my responsibility.
Had to change fuel from fuel oil and fuel gas to just fuel gas. Outside guy shut correct valves at correct time, all groovy. Then an alarm sounded and the emergency low pressure fuel safeguard activated.
So no fuel at all now.

So the down wiggle top right trend box is the total refinery steam pressure. Got down to 38bar from 43.
The boiler output that tripped lower left. The other boiler picking up some load lower right.
Had liquid fuel fires back in within 5 minutes and then sent someone to check what went wrong, all the time wondering if it was a mistake on my part. Outside guy found a wire hanging out of a termination box. Clearly broken previously and never reported. Vibration from fuel change must have shaken it loose therefore 'zeroing' instrument.
Had our favourite instrument guy remake the lead and carried on with the job.

I made this face.

Refining. 99% boredom, 1% terror.
