Oh I get what you mean and most people have to have the defense type attitude for the scammers out there. At least once we do business with some of the same people on this community you have a reputation. I wouldn’t be in the slightest bit hesitant to buy parts from you.
I don't have much in way of parts anymore and the few I didn't need I just gave away here. Been unloading saws lately too since people are buying them at almost a premium. Gonna keep about 8 saws I think and that's it. Pretty much winding down my saw game.

ya never know. there have been guys on here for years before they got exposed as scammers/cheats etc…. guys who did many solid deals and then just disappeared or stopped responding or didnt send saws back or hid chitty work or did parts swapping. its a lot different when u meet a guy face to face and shake hands. it takes a special kind of scumbag to pull one over after that.

I’m just here to meet some cool people and have connections to buy old husky parts. I haven’t been brave enough to sell anything here. I got a room full of saws and I’m too afraid to sell anything and be accused of trying to rip someone off. I’ll just keep my pile of hack saws and keep trying different porting things on them. I’ve seen some things go down if someone made a mistake on a saw. Man I’m a human being and I’m not gonna say I’m not ever going to make a mistake on a saw. Now porting a cheap saw for free or in trade for some parts. Nobody can get mad at me for that I don’t think.
Dude you worry way too much. I trade stuff with people here I/we will never meet. That said a fairly new member, more than once, sent me a saw or part to get the ball rolling on a deal. Least I could say is no and send it back as is. Never sent anything back yet. Sometimes the saws/parts came, I kid you not, with no set trade but several on his mind. If your pile is high something always works out. One deal almost went south a few years back but I just sent along an update will call it to sweeten the pot. Everyone has been happy at the other end as far as I know. Other deals just never pan out and those are mostly purchase deals for transfers from PP. Never happens with PP FF so go figure. Some people just won't except payment and mail stuff anyway on their dime. Been there done that.

Yes indeed it would. Nobody near me knows much about saws. All I’ve done is lost money in selling anything.

Yea I do worry a lot. Hopefully in time I will have enough friends here and they know I’m not out to make money. Just a hobby I’m trying to stay a float in. I have a job.

There’s the two-bay battery bank underneath the hood. Got four 5Ah batts in it. The red dealio is simply a two-spade master key that has to be in place to run it. Might as well make up a couple of 10-12 gauge male spade jumpers for it this evening, I’m sure I’ll get to drankin’ and lose or misplace that damn thing eventually. The 1 and 2 switch changes the battery bank that’s running the mower at the time.

You better have a job if you keep showing up here.
Enablers are everywhere.

Just stick to the basics and perfect that first. Concentrate more on time than area as you progress with these tiny things. Doing a very nice intake port on any motor is not something you learn overnight or in week. On multi cylinder motors the game becomes matching the flow rates not necessarily matching the port shapes. Very different ports can produce the same flow numbers given a different location and a different incoming angle. If your producing a better result on the intake side the exit will be a suspect when down on flow. Sometimes you need to look in the right place first and decide how that affects your exit strategy. Four stroke has an intake and exhaust cycle. The two stroke has an intake, transfer and exhaust cycle. This how you lose most folks. It becomes a three shell game versus two.

Fwiw I didn’t show up here with no porting experience. I waited until I had some experience with porting saws before I joined. Not an expert by any means but I’ve been porting and machining my own saws for about 4 years. Before that I ported outboards. So at least I’m not a newbie. Intermediate non professional. Still learning absolutely with every saw I do.

I’ve used the forum for years to learn but I didn’t want to join because of all the wise cracks I see with people who don’t know much. I still won’t join AS

Redneck *f-wordery.:D
Built a lean-to off the shop years ago.
Had no idea what I was doing.
It leaks like a sieve.:(
Put a 30' x 50' tarp over the whole shebang to keep it from leaking.
Plan on fixing it right, but I'm gonma finish paying off the house first, then just pay cash.

On outboard motors messing with time can be a big no no I learned the hard way a long time ago. On those I'd go more for area. The ports being bridged can be manipulated more for flow without the common ring issues associated with a wide port area. A big plus with old Rudes and they are fun to grind on imo. Considering diving into a 225 V6 here for more grunt some day. The V4 motors just respond nicely to mods. My inline fours liked to pitch con rods and break pistons over 5,500 rpms. Two clylinders not so much.

and you dont have people making wise cracks of you now ?
you just have to watch who is giving you the information and if things dont make sense think it out until it does
