We have rain in the forecast the next 5 days and man do we need it. We have forest fires popping up all over. Luckily none are endangering towns or cities but one northern reserve is evacuating elders and the young for health reasons. Unfortunately we have our own COVID battle going on in the city right now and no place to safely keep them all together.

We have a massive timber shortage over here as well Gary it’s getting really bad at the moment.

Our lumber price increases are somewhat to mostly a result of price manipulation by financial markets. OSB is traded as a commodity as oil is and there are lots of speculators driving up the pricing. There is very high demand but the supply can match the demand but the a$$holes in suits that wouldn’t know what to do with a hammer are the ones causing the issues for everyone.

we have been getting some rain since yesterday. Nice slow rain and it is needed. I can’t remember the last time I seen field irrigators running this early but they have been running for weeks.

Roads are flooded but they are asking us with 4wd to come to work if possible. Some roads are closed but most just have the high water signs.
