The 3120s are done.

I probably could grind a port in my sleep. Hell I'm about to nod off now. LOL

I remember talking with a guy who was getting starting porting a few years ago. I told him that he needed to feel for humps and bumps when doing the upper transfers instead of trying to see into the port.....then I realized how that musta sounded to him. LOL
I’m thankful that y’all are willing to help us that are learning. I know I have a long way to go but I just gotta think that I’m getting better every saw I do. You can’t learn from reading or being coached, you have to practice! However being helped and coached in the right direction sure keeps you from going backwards if you pay attention.

Thanks Mark! I'm going to spend some time talking with a friend that has a nursery. Difficult species for me to identify, but one that pops up quite often needing work.
Dan usually after a tree has been topped, regardless of species, you have to keep pruning the "water sprout" branches before they get too big. Not really much you can do with them besides removal if they are really bad.

Sorry for your loss John. We gonna have a beer in person one day. You’re good people. I can relate to having great mentors growing up.

That's what I usually run into, Brad. I'm trying to convince folks that have rather young trees to not top them.

Topping has been such common practice here for so long, people just don't think of an alternative.

Then there's the fact that usual dudes cutting trees here, know jack squat about trees. They're just trying to make a buck.
