Afternoon lads.
Section nextdoor has been bought and new owners are developing it for two dwellings. They had a tree hacker come and make a mess.
Asked if I would mind tidying things up abit..
First thing I noticed is the massive high stump....with an abandoned low cut and wire hanging out the other side. No thanks.

Bucked up a log for them though. NZ native Pohutukawa, beautiful red heart. Used my OPE Intl 372. @Mastermind cylinder ex TN, @AlfA01 bar ex Sweden then Greece and Moyer OEM wrap ex eBay USA. Great saw. Kept the HiTop pics at a distance incase @Czed is eating...

Still didn't escape the hidden steel tho...:mad:View attachment 292829
You might want to Put the modern rounded husky pull handle on that
They are far more comfortable than the
T square style.

Poulan I fixed 9 year's ago
And he never ran it
I put new lines on the bastard.View attachment 292831
He couldn't get the tree's down
So he hired me to cut all this out.View attachment 292832
His dog begs for canned food like this so
She can have diarrhea every day.
Yep. Agreed to work on a guys McCinderblock. He threw in these two. The red one was never started. Fuel lines all rotted off and primer disintegrated. Grey one was apparently used for a shovel at some point, and of course the fuel lines were rotted off as well. I hate POO LANS.

I tried to buy it to burn it.
He wants a new saw so I told him I'd find him something 40/50cc baby saw line
With no primer bulb
He literally hasn't run a saw in 9 year's.
Those primer bulb bastards are not a long storage saw.

Used to be protected Dallas. NZ Xmas tree. Beautiful red flowers. But yeah they grow all weird, not to mention the steel.

Figured it would be a bush style tree nothing to make lumber with

They are huskies in disguise
Now I got this big nasty bastid to work on.
Preliminary surgery shows a shot top rear AV mount. Probably explaing the torn intake boot. Luckily, it hasnt ran lean long enough to screw up the cylinder. View attachment 292836
Expensive lesson

Yeah, I know. Pretty pissed at Husky for what they did to Poulan. Used to be solid saws.
Even more pissed at them for what they did to Mcculloch, but Black and Decker started it I guess. Damn shame.

Weak companies put themselves in a position to be taken over and their name sullied bro. You don't see Stihl selling out to Husqvarna. Yet.

I dont see Stihl selling out to anybody. They have the right business plan. They do have some homeowner models, but they are all sold to DEALERS ONLY. No big box stores, and no short lines/rebrands.
Thats what happened when B&D got their hands on Mac. They thought they could squeeze more money out by making cheap, price point equipment. The quality suffered, and they had lost ground in forestry to Stihl and Husky, again mostly due to trying to cut corners and make a cheaper product.
Robert Mcculloch always focused on having a BETTER product. Mac was the Stihl in this country and others from the late 1940s until the 70s.
I hear theres still some old yellow stuff down your and Todds way too.
