If you want to go into the play saw realm and enhance the intake port, then the 198/199 will give the fuel you're going to need easily and reliably, especially if hitting a high peak RPM. This is not to say you can't run the 198/199 if you don't, you certainly can.

Ah I’ve done lots of experiments on this with the 346s and I know what it takes to make a difference with the 199. I’m starting fresh with the 262

Slipper springs come to mind. BB Chrysler could squat a foot when you launch a B body at the drags. Leaf springs working hard to stop the wrap at the eye. They look like an S bend when the thing hooks-up. Good times!

The ks cylinder has better port timing numbers also what I’ve read but if you’re gonna have it ported what does that matter?
