Yea that’s some cool old *s-word! Your guess is better than mine lol. I was thinking it was an auxiliary air backup mechanism looking for a loss in pressure. Looks similar to what we have for that only ours has a diaphragm and a spring that supply holds against.Excuse the gloomy 5am pics bro.
Best I can work out the small weight acts on the spindle, and if flow drops off the impulse line upstream rises in pressure and maybe acts on the big weight to turn it into a Tight Shut Off,View attachment 290531 View attachment 290532 View attachment 290533 View attachment 290534 but I'm really only guessing.
