Combined with the unexpected sparkly-frost-snow it was pretty special. That was yesterday just hours before we left. Between the road being closed until April 1st and the weather, we very nearly didn't get to go up there.

Not sure what the dragon is. Most of our activities involved driving away from Gatlinburg/ Sevier co. Cherokee NC had a pretty fantastic museum of the Cherokee people. I've seen probably over a dozen Peter Toth wood sculptures in different states so this was on my bucket list:
