Family's doing great,

It's wet as hell here

Hows you?

Doing good, nothing legitimate to complain about right now.

What car is that off Ed

The 1.4 is used in the Cruze, Sonic, Trax, Encode, and maybe something else. Conpact cars and suv's.
What a POS:eek:

It's a shame actually because other than the turbo failures and oil leaks, the rest of the Cruze isn't all that bad. Occasional hvac mode actuator gear failure, but that's about it other than normal wear items.

I don’t want any of that wet but our farmers would sure like a little. For the last 9 months we’ve only had 25% of our normal precip levels.

What are your overall thought on the Trax / Encore? Wife is thinking that is what she wants now, anything specific to be mindful of or to watch for?

Wouldn't do any good anyways.

They do need it but if it keeps at the rate it's been going we'll be swimming down here.

Are you looking at new?
I think they ditched the 1.4 engine in favor of the 1.5 in those. We have had very few issues.
The Encore will have more features and be a bit more refined in the interior than the Trax.
First time in over 100 years Buick dies not have a car. Only suv's now.
We do see issues with the intercooler freezing when we get long spells of subzero temps. There is a winter front that goes over the intercooler air opening. I have not seen one freeze up with the updates and cover installed.

I wouldn't steer you away from them, they've been pretty good.
If you go used, send me the Vin number, I can run it through the GM system and see everything that's been done under warranty.

I hope to convince her to go used. She flat out doesn’t drive. Only put 3000miles on her Spark in the 3 years she had it.
Thanks, I will be sure to take you up on the VIN check when we get that far.

You might get sticker shock on used right now unless it's different up norf.
Used is real close to new here. The fly by night dealers are scooping everything up from auction at high prices and selling at little to no profit to keep their bank roll going.
The used car manager at my place said he can get more for the trade in's at the auction, but that leaves nothing to sell for the sales guys.

Morning Jason how are you doing buddy
Evening Todd, doing alright. Tornado warnings everywhere around here, finished getting all the AGE/GSE cabled and chained down outside the hangars first thing this morning (evening and owl shift did most of it last night), and moving *s-wordt inside the hangars. Storms oughta be outta here and east/northeast of us a little after noon time.
