I buy lumber from a local sawmill Gary. A few weeks ago I paid 2 bucks a board for 1 x 6 x 8" pine.

Untreated lumber won't last as long of course, but certain species will last a very long time if taken care of.

Here we have hemlock, and locust. I've seen locust posts last 40 years and still be solid.

That is a long time in those wet hills. We never get fifty years out of anything in the ground here. Winters as a whole are too mild now. Chit just rots like my Chebys :-( soaked in road salt. I'm going to try some copper, mineral spirits and ghost pepper juice for our toothy bugs. The big post get a motor oil soaking, another motor oil bath and fire. Maybe dump some juice on those big posts as they go in. Best I got on a budget for sandy soils and clay.

Fuggin A! I'm a fighter plane dork. Used to hit our air show every year till the idiots that run the events here ran it into the ground along with our multiple day music festival.

Come to the Jersey shore and enjoy a show or two on the beach or boardwalk. Others happen on the base or quite close is good enough unless you want to rub elbows with the tops guns. A few years ago they came to visit us and party in AC after the show. It was cool on the beach and boards all day long. Fancy pants rent tents on the beach with tvs, a fridge, fans, minions, ect, lmao for an air show.

There are a lot of factors that drive these fluctuations. The biggest on fertilizer is that the weather was perfect in the late fall for application in the middle of the country. Millions of tons were applied.

Cattle prices follow corn and fertilizer usually, and I saw a .25 per pound price increase in one week here in Tennessee.

Everything here...fertilizer, lumber, etc is no different than gold or silver...it’s a commodity.
