I bought 25 lunches for all our local staff courtesy of a suppliers. I ate with the pretty young things...

Stopped by an estate sale on the way home.
Found a Coleman propane lantern for 3 bucks, a "grubbing hoe" for 2, and this roached out Singer treadle machine for 5 bucks. Still has the drawers and parts/attachments with case.

my great aunt had one of those that she used to do her stuff and i always had to work on the leather belt of it
the rest was built good

Already has one. Currently has the small tv sitting on it in the den, since we took the big tv outside to the lean-to for football season.(yeah, I havent gotten round to bringing that back in).
That old marble top just seemed to fit it.
Bosslady had to put her "night light" in the Octagon soap box with her flower stuff.
Might have a matching set of end tables now...

My mum's cousin's husband (uncle?) was a travelling serviceman for Singer here for many years, based in our largest city Auckland tho, which is a couple of hours south of me here. A lot of sail-making and canvas work in our areas to provide work for. He'd know what all those bits n pieces do.

My dad still has my grandmothers that "should" still work. Dang things have more pieces than a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle...

My dad still kinda remembers how to do basic stuff, but id probably just sew my fingers together.

My mum's cousin's husband (uncle?) was a travelling serviceman for Singer here for many years, based in our largest city Auckland tho, which is a couple of hours south of me here. A lot of sail-making and canvas work in our areas to provide work for. He'd know what all those bits n pieces do.

My grandmother used to make everyones clothes, even for my brother and me when we were young. Lost art I believe.

I just figured I would put it to some use, even if just a place to sit things as a table.
