Remember the old days where the only technical assistant we needed for cars was maybe someone to had you a 9/16 or something?Technical assistance tells me one thing, our district rep is telling me another and my D-bag manager says I can't replace a battery that failed according to our $3k GM approved charger/tester and has a static voltage of 3.8v.
So, just another day..
Just let off the button operator!!!! Double blocking a hoist will render it scrap real quick like as you already know.Yep.
This customer had an upper travel limit fail and they smashed their hoist load block up into their hoost frame. Bent it to hell and tweaked the frame.
OEM says junk it.
Customer wants to just cut off the bent part and weld a new plate on.
Nope. Aint touching that.View attachment 284317 View attachment 284318

In commercial setting that’s all you can doThe original equipment manufacturer says that it is damaged to the point that the frame and driveline must be replaced.
It cannot be repaired. Too much chance of component failure.
We would have to accept liability if we repaired it differently.
We are not going to do that. Our company wants to make sure that above all else, noone gets hurt or killed.
This hoist was built in 1986 by Demag in Germany.
Repair parts would be more than a new unit, so we are quoting a replacement.
well the ex gf said I tasted just like pineappleHe was talking to you evidently. Lol
