Maybe. Never seen them. They sure say a lot though. They don't cover @Slumberjack 's commute though
We got bus transportation after one of the lads fell asleep after nites and crashed through the front window of the local paper in his 4wd.

i use to work at a tire shop and had to put them in new tires they suck and if you need studs to go then you probably should put better tires on
my younger days i always ran sawdust recaps and id go anywhere in front wheel drive that most people did in 4wd
sucks that they dont make those anymore
One word....Nokian
Studs aren't needed with these mfers. We've had many other brands. Hands down the best we have ran. All MI state police run Nokian winter tires.

How bout dat.
Bridgestone, moreover BATO, is where I just spent about 18 hours yesterday.
We repair and inspect their overhead cranes at their Aiken SC ORR(off road radial) plant.

We are traveling the same roads here lately then.

Bought "Bob Dinsmore" sawdust recaps in 1977 in Canonsburg, PA.

"How d they work?" Try terrific . Great grip at the cost of zero mileage. But in that ice zone north of I-70 and south of I-80, they were a godsend.

Looks as tho the sawdust variety are no longer available, and the thought of crushed walnuts sounds a little whacky! But, who knows? If you re out in the middle of nowhere, stuck in a drift, and can t get a grip, not to worry. Just eat the tires, eh?

I see the Bob Dinsmore tire stores are still going strong in W VA and southern PA.

Cool
