Who on here could I ask some question about a Kawasaki carburetor problem? Doing maintenance on the zero turn and while i got it tore down would like to see why Its surging up n down like its hunting for idle.

I dont think its governor i pray its not.

Edjumacated guess, sort of.

Check the throttle butterfly shaft. Mine was worn down to nothing, flopping around in there.
New AM carb was $45 and runs fine

Will do thanks man. I plan on tearing it down tomorrow since it looks like im gonna be stuck in shed all day with rain coming.

Not sure. It’s a 95ish JD285 garden tractor with a 20hp Kawi. It’s well used for sure. Maybe 2000 hours?

Damn i was hoping u was gonna say a 2017 with 150 hrs. Cause thats what this one is at. Was hoping for common problem. Ill take a look at it in the AM maybe get bored start a thread in mowers n more section.

I’d flop the linkage back and forth as a quick check just in case, but given the low hours, I’d doubt it. Maybe it’s got some water in the gas or sumptin

Or maybe just a little lawn booger in the low speed. Some sea foam might just do the trick, if not it will have to be cleaned manually.

my buddy has a 2010 x534 with a kawasaki on it and his was acting up
found the float was screwed up not leaking but warped

Crossing fingers its trash in one of the jets but it does it at low idle and full throttle under load. Not near as noticeable at wot.

Coffee is good
