Here’s one for the masses...
Buddy of mine found a damn cherry, garage kept ‘08 Dodge CrewCab 4x4 a little while back and bought it. Wanted to upgrade the tires a bit and he settled on what I have on my MegaCab 4x4...LT295/70R17 Toyo Open Country MT’s. If he went 305’s he’d need a 2” minimum front leveling kit...so he decided 295’s the route to go. Brings it by here and we take a little ride. Truck is stout and stiffer than hell...can feel every damn bump in the road. They put 70psi in front tires/60 psi in the rear tires. Max tire pressure for the 295’s is 80psi. Needless to say before he left here, all tires were sitting at 40psi. Asked him what in the hell he told them he’d be hauling and he said that conversation never even came up. He’s got a little 5x10 utility trailer and that’s it. I guess the idiots figured he was hauling a tandem axle trailer with a big tractor/attachments or a damn backhoe one. Lol
