So, lets just say a "guy" hadn't driven his truck in like 6 months since the Covid. The battery tender (2 batteries) and the block heater are both plugged in the whole time. Right before the guy leaves town for 10 days of fun in Michigan he needs to drive the truck and "nothing" no start, lights on the dash, clicks, buzzes, pops or whirs. Upon checking outside the truck the plug has melted, caught fire and is still sparking.

So the guy unplugs the cord at both ends and leaves town for 10 days, gets back and spends most of a week catching up on stuff.
Now the guy opens the hood expecting to see all kinds of burnt melted carnage.
Again, nothing, other than the melted cable ends everything "looks" normal.
What should the guy do next?
Take batteries that are still under warranty to Napa? Hook up a large battery charger? Call insurance?
