Randy, ida figured having the thumb would be better than not. At least ya got something to pinch against. Thumbs is important.
Had a friend saw his COMPLETELY off on a table saw. Couldnt do much with that hand afterward.

My Aunt Anita had a bull calf spook and pull hers off when the lead got caught around it. She was a teenager and had just a stub left below the joint. Yes her hand was not very useful after that happened.

Probably closer to six. I would say definitely old growth back where we were. Looks like they are marked to be saved. They are getting ready to log the area soon. That whole patch was good sized timber. They are going to need a dozer to widen the road though lol.

Oh chit yeah, I later frost bit them sumbishes to where 2 of my fingers were black.
They still function.

Then a few years after that I got into a knife fight with a deer and ended up with it stuck in my forearm. I have no feeling between the scar and my wrist, so thats fun.

Good evening fellas. Felled and bucked up a 17” elm tree today. That stuff is nasty to cut

Burns like crap too. We have the largest urban canopy of American Elms in all of North America they are fighting like hell to preserve the ones we had. As a matter of fact they are just starting their annual spraying campaign to kill the Elm Bark Beetles before they set their winter nest and lay the eggs in them.
