It is a place where if you pay attention, you can learn from the centuries of experience supplied here. But you have to shake off the cobwebs and pay attention. Pretend you are a new private, and you are going to war with a bunch of senior enlisted, who have seen it all. Would you wander around aimlessly or would you pay attention and learn fast?

This is where you are. Develope a filter to sort out when people are being serious versus when we are slinging chit. I wish I had this opportunity when I was your age. Alas, All Gore had not yet invented the interwebz.

So whenever you are going to post something, before you hit the send button, ask yourself how it can be twisted around to make you look foolish. Then edit it so it can't be done. You will quickly learn this way, as there are more verbiage twisters here than anywhere. Once you can post without it being twisted, you will have learned.

Lack of self awareness after starting to show promise. Regression! I think that's about it. Nobody is riled up per se, just frustration at his lack of awareness. Or he totally gets it and has found his niche, by playing us, which if so, is a brilliant strategy. Crazy that we don't know for sure.

This makes me wonder if some of the statues and monuments from the civil war era that were pulled down during the “re-writing” of America’s history were saved and are going to be restored to their former glory

History is history and denying it doesn’t change it

From an old coal guy Dustin. We called it crop coal. Usually near the surface, very dis colored-not black, and very low BTU.
