Morning folks. 33f/40f with 1"-3" of snows. What a mess.
I should have said predicated. Nothing on the ground yet and everything that we got in yesterdays dusting has melted @36f currently.
Nothing here either. Guess Ken should move
I'm planning to do some moving to at least a 3 store shopping errand run.

Good Morning/Evening All.

Having a hard time staying apolitical this morning as our nations have entered a trade war that the greatest victims are you and I and everyone that will pay higher prices for goods.

No winners, and 400 million losers.
Don't bring it up please.

Made fruit smoothies for the fam for breakfast, said I was going to put shroom powder in mine, they both declined. After they were made, they both tasted mine and said it tasted better but they still didn’t want some added to theirs.
Shrooms in my tea again.....in the shop desperately trying to catch back up.

I doubt that is the book or the Bobby that @Woodwackr was referring to but I will stand back and let him wade in if he chooses

I will just say, do yourself a favor and ditch all that cereal and sugar garbage and eat eggs and bacon and butter and steak and good farm made sausage and leave the carbs for the cows and pigs

Just saying

Dennis has an OWB. The initial investment is costly but will save in the long run. They are great for heating multiple structures if you also need shop heat. You can burn dang near anything in them especially green wood and they will burn it. It won’t be as efficient but will burn. You can get them that are simple or you can get very fancy. You can buy used but be careful cause if they didn’t keep corrosion inhibiter added properly there could be catastrophic corrosion in the water tank and such. You’re more than welcome to text me if you have specific questions. I was there when they poured the slab for his, watched Mark do the plumbing for it, and then keep the durn thing fed for five years when I worked for him.
I would definitely add the detached garage to it with a unit heater. There is so much info out there I was just wanting to turn to more folks I trust, lol. The gasifier units seem more efficient but won’t burn just anything. I’ve looked at two used ones and they are all sketchy looking, lol. Wood supply is basically endless for me here, so that’s not an issue. Did he get his local or order it? There used to be some dealers but I don’t find many in east TN any longer.

Turns out that whole "food pyramid " thing was a scam cooked up by the junk food lobbies. The above menu is and always has been much healthier.

Good morning men, dog sitting is fun at times, but the getting up in the middle of the night bit is less so. Still, the dog party ends tonight, and mine will slack hard tomorrow. Going to the 60's today, supposed to hit 70 by next Saturday. Looks like winter is over here at least.
How long have you lived here Larry? Winter is just taking a break so spring can get step in and get the crappie and turkey all fired up and then winter comes back and pisses on everyone’s parade, lol. East TN has its own weather.

Current situation: the flu sucks! We tried to get the Christmas tree down, got all the ornaments and lights off, sat down on the couch a few minutes and we all three zonked out. I woke up to the sound of my son ripping out of here on his dirt bike and my daughter is apparently trying new hairstyles because I smell hairspray and hot hair. At this point, I don’t GAD as long as they don’t get hurt and we have to go to Knoxville, lol.

What’s this mushroom powder you all are talking about? I’m too medicated to search back through the pages.

Been here permanently since 2017, have owned the place since 2012. I have fallen for the spring head fake every year I have been here. I think this year is different. The robins have been all over lately. And they know. I trust them more than the weather guessers. Either way, things are waking up from the winter slumber.

I thought we liked Mack here? We have a member that builds them that is still around occasionally.
Granted it primarily has to do with BS California emissions products, but I know of a Mack that in 4-5 years of ownership has run properly for maybe 2 weeks to a month cumulatively. If it was non-emission regulated it'd be a damn good truck, but that emissions stuff has left it in limp mode for ages.

The documentary Fed Up from some years back proved how the food pyramid was a scam created by the sugar industry in order to blame fat for what sugar was actually doing to people. It’s a good video, still accurate, and worth the watch.

We have pockets of Robins that stay all winter way up here, as well. So that’s not exactly accurate either.
