This is the one i run on all mine. 3/4” female 2 micronCurrently running the GPI 10 micron rated @ 18/gal min. I’m due for replacement soon - I’m open to any options.
There is almost never any water in our fuel here. I also keep my L-tank full to prevent condensation.
When I worked at the Highway Dept, those are the filters we ran on all the transfer tanks and also all the ground pumps. This is the one i run on all mine. 3/4” female 2 micron
Back in the 70s (late 70s?) when the GM diesels in cars came out everyone in El Paso that bought them was going over to Juarez to get diesel because it was so incredibly cheap, but it was so incredibly bad quality that they were stacking RACOR filter systems and adding so many additives that it quickly wasn't cost effective anymoreNot sure how true this is, maybe @Lnk can weigh in on this: I’ve always been told the further south, the lower the quality of diesel. When I traveled to Texas with my pickup, a couple truckers told me to only fill up at busy truck stops, and to fill my transfer tank full at home before leaving.
I followed their advice, and only filled up at Love’s stations, except at the furthest point south where I filled up, I pulled into a Valero - I was so nervous, everything about the place was sketchy, and dirty. I had brought diesel treatments with me, and added immediately with that tank. I had a little idle stumble for a bit, but it cleared up when I filled up at the next Love’s truck stop.
I probably should have just filled my pickup off the transfer tank - would have been no gamble then.
Those are great and I highly recommend them for people such as myself. The sulphur has been working, as all fuel tanks breathe, and with high humidity of the south, moisture is impossible to keep out.I have one of these to fill equipment out of cans and they work real well taking any moisture out, would be slow kinda at 3.5 gpm but you could fill your truck tank using this out of the sketchy pump and then fill your truck with pre filtered fuel from your tank.
Those red filters are particulate only, need the hydrosorbs. They also make phase separation filters for ethanol blended fuels. This is the one i run on all mine. 3/4” female 2 micron
@redline4. Is this your whip at the car show?View attachment 448108
Morning men, still under wind, flood, rain, and avalanche advisories
39 Freedom degrees, raining and blowing currently
The road we live off of that goes up to Hatcher Pass was closed last night by an avalanche just a few miles up from us
We are in no danger from avalanches and even a bad flood probably wouldn't touch us but we do get battered by the wind
Coffee sounds good about now
