Generally Greece is like the southern states. I happen to live at the center of an island that buffets the Athenian peninsula, so northeastern storms are able to collect humidity from the sea and unload it on our mountains. We are at 850 meters in elevation, something like 2700 feet iirc. How long is the winter there? Or what states climate would you compare it to? Looked it up, zone 6-7 equivalent. You must be at a higher altitude.
