Last scheduled work day of the year. Of course, our customers are all down so they offered no work no pay for production. So it looks like a Saturday in here. Ever since the family medical leave act about 25% of the workforce here does everything possible to not come to work as much as possible. I don't understand why they sign up for a job. And don't get me started on the 32 hour work week gen z'ers.

And then there's the work from home office clowns.

I like money too much to not work usually more then 40 a week probably 50-60 on weeks nothing else is happening. Another thing I don’t get is the lack of wanting to drive out of the young crowd now. I wanted my license soon as I could but my kids and their friends don’t seem to care that much

I couldn’t wait to get my drivers license and have “freedom” to drive and go where I wanted. Mud trailin’, driving through the fields covered in snow, whipping *s-wordties in parking lots, just overall country fun.

I wasn’t ever allowed to head to town on my own, but dad taught us to drive around age 12. We would help hook up trailers and whatnot.

I got to drive around the homestead in the '73 International 1310 truck, with a 345 and the manual transmission with the goofy shift pattern. At 12 or 13, it was awesome!

My boys are excited to drive. I have a few years yet

Is anyone else ready for the holidays to be over? Or am I turning into a crabass as I age? I just want my regularly scheduled BS, no celebrations with fake people or going out of my way to please people that don't reciprocate
Yea *f-word these propaganda holidays
When people go right from holloween to Xmas because they buy candy or so called presents

Xmas was ruined for me when grandma died 22 years ago yesterday
Then the ruined it because she thought the more she bought for her kids the more they would want to be around her

My sister said our other grandma doesn’t even know anyone now but I won’t be going to that funeral either

I still enjoy the holidays, the kids the few items we get them and truly appreciate it. And my dads birthday is Christmas Eve so I do the meal as much for that as anything 2 prime ribs and a ham in oven and a turkey breast in slow cooker for those that don’t like prime rib or ham. Believe it or not I have family that doesn’t like prime rib and or ham.

And then there's the work from home office clowns.
During COVID I was forced to work from home...and I got so much more work done there, I didn't have my coworkers coming around all the time to BS. It was great. One of my coworkers couldn't wait to get back into the office, he stated that it helped him focus as he would play games and watch YouTube all the time at home - I think it was more to get away from his parents, they moved in with him.

Yeah, I pass on prime rib...but give me a steak that is well done and burnt around the edges and I will be happy. :D

What a waste of good beef, my sister in law finally gave in and tried a med cooked ribeye vs well done and now won’t eat her old way.

It was Christmas morning and dad wanted something from the store it was about a half a mile to it from our house.he told me to go get it,tickled me to death.i was 13 and never drove on the road by myself.made it out there fine went in bull sh**ted for awhile got what I was after.went out got in the truck to leave and a friend of mine was on the cb.while I was talking to him I started the truck put it in reverse and backed up without looking 😂 didn't go 5 feet and hit my neighbors truck in the driver's side door.that little trip cost 1300 to fix his truck.didn't even put a scratch on the 78 f250 I was in.
