Honestly after running that one ported I kinda think they were under appreciated saws. Yes they are a pain to work on but i believe if it wasn’t for the bad intake boots ripping when first introduced they would have faired better. I know some echo owners would be pulling their hair out taking one apart. The Stihl engineer that designed it didn’t like the mechanics much.

i had one and gave it away when it along with the 362 came out and bad cranks from the saws being lean
so the 2 saws i never had much use for was the 362 and 441 even though i never bought either new
this was back when i was rebuilding a good many saws and i had to get 6 362 to be able to build 3 saws
i sent randy the left over parts and didnt do another one

and on nightshift i got rid of a few slugs when i was foreman
dayshift had their click and i wasnt part of it because i wasnt afraid to tell them to go *f-word themselves
