Evening fellas. Pics of the woodshed now that it is done. 1 1/2 facecord of barkless red oak in the shed so far. Next build is a lean to wood shed on the Fire Escape then a 12x24' woodshed for all the ash wood I have to split and stack.

The smaller one is the bull I traded for a few days ago. The largest one has an appointment with destiny on the 13th January.

I've never seen a wood shed with a wooden floor Dan. Is it strong enough to support that much weight?

I've never seen a wood shed with a wooden floor Dan. Is it strong enough to support that much weight?

It is all pallet wood that I built to make the wood floor. There is 6 pallets laid in there supported by bricks to keep the pallets off the dirt. The inside dimensions are 8' x 12' and should be about 6' high average stacks. Should hold about 4 1/2 cord. To be honest, I never gave the weight much thought. I guess we will find out. Lol

A solid oak pallet should be good for 1.5k-2k lbs. We store skids of refrigerant at work on em in that weight range. Assuming of course there's ample brick support.

The snow has been coming down all day, was about 6’ on the deck the first time I cleared it when we got home from the city.

Inhalant abuse was a huge problem

I watched a guy die outside of my friends machine shop in the mid 70s

We thought he had a bottle in a bag but he was spraying paint into the bag and huffing it

He seized up and we called an ambulance and he was dead long before they got there

Summer 1991 I worked up north on a reserve for the summer. Multiple times had to call the RC’ to come pull some young kid off the gas tanks. 10 years old and huffing gas, no one should live a life with that level of despair.
