Youngest daughter got her temps a few weeks ago. Unless my wife says no I figure I'll have her drive some on the backroads tonight to get her used to it.

We didn’t get any snow during the day but I’ve heard reports of wind gusts approaching 60mph. School got E to and from school so that’s my main concern dealt with. Wind has been mostly moving snow away from our driveway, so no clearing is required.

I dug it out of the frozen dirt. Come to find out, that was a cattle lane 40 years ago. They just knifed in manure a couple weeks ago, and that probably brought this sucker to the surface.. Farmer feels bad - before I could even get my truck to the station, he called and told them to bill him for my tire. I told him not to worry about it, but I’m not going to insult him if he insists.

I had several cows get cut on their feet. Finally found a rusted off tee post in a pond.

Stove is stoked. Did some diagnostics on Griz's snowmobile ignition. Going to need a generator and a trigger to make it whole again.
Need to get the blower mounted to the tractor someday soon.
Fired up the old crusty trusty snowblower with the water pump motor on it and blew some snow around the buildings.
The few inches of snow got packed down on the driveway so it's ready for blowing next time around with the big blower.
Made some wild rice soup with some Amish hamburger and local smoked bacon ends for some meat in it. Seasoned with my home-grown spices, turned out pretty darn good if I do say so myself.
As I write this, I can hear the wind howling snow through the trees from the North and I'm glad to be warm, although I would be warmer if I lit a fart.

Winds are supposed to pick here tomorrow. Little bit of snow along with it and highs in the 30’s. Back in the 50’s next week maybe my deer will thaw out enough to process.
