For us, snow brings mud. The ground becomes rotten after a thaw. If I were to wish for snow, it would be accompanied by a long cold spell that froze the ground.

That's normal, same thing happens here, ground freezes the latter part of November and thaws by the beginning of May.

It freezes a couple of inches deep here, but only till the next warm spell. Freeze/thaw, snow melt.....and my tractor is buried in a mud hole....

It does the freeze/thaw thing here each fall and spring. Freezes at night, hits 40 during the daytime.. makes for muddy logging. Sometimes it’s only a week, sometimes it’s a month or so.

I'm a poor man who enjoys his cattle. I want to let the cattle pay for themselves. That's why my newest tractor is from 1978, and my truck is from 1983. If I bought newer, bigger, fancier equipment, I'd be even poorer than I am.

Good morning mudholes. My wife is becoming one with the sourdough. She made a loaf of bread and some hoagie rolls for our French dip sandwiches already this morning. All I did was sharpen a couple chains in anticipation of a new saw arriving tomorrow and pick up some trash in the yard.

Could you add a set of tires or get some bigger wooly booger tires for your existing tractor? Getting stuck sucks.

It's no wonder crops go bad in the US when you run it to shreds before harvest.

The wide tired tractors are the plowing tractors
The narrow tired tractors are more for harvesting
They have pickers and combines that do most of the harvesting
