All I know is to have the best day possible with the goal of having a better tomorrow to get me through the days.

Fleshed, and salted (twice for 24 hrs each time). Now prepping the salt water bath. Water can’t be too warm of the hair will slip. Soak for about 8 hours, then I’ll sew the holes, and hang/stretch to dry on some pallets, placed vertically. Rough the membrane and tan tomorrow…IMG_0336.jpeg

I hope you stocked up on coffee Michael.
Thanks Larry, 8 pounds plus what's in my canister means I should be good until about Tuesday, although I am going to the market later to grab a few Thanksgiving Dinner essentials so I'll grab another 3 pounder of the Columbian

@JimBear sent me 3 bags of top notch small batch coffee in a care package recently, and I just finished off the first one

The other 2 bags are in front

The first bag was lovely and I am looking forward to sharing the rest with family and friends over the holidays

Did I mention I am fond of coffee?

Hows you and your better half?

We are doing well. I buy beans 20# at a time and roast them myself. When I get down to 5# I place my next order. I like the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe but was unavailable, so I got Guatemalan beans this time.

Edit: I just zoomed in on your picture and see you also like the Ethiopian. A connoisseur I see.

Whats causing it?
dont know noone will give me ancrs not sure if arthitis off the center
last sept at work i lifted a scaffold pick i probably shouldnt have and it hurt
or if something didnt grow back together right
i just get told there is nothing they can do for me
more of nothing they want to do for me
the center area still has a v shape and no scar tissue welding the chest bone together

I have pan roasted beans in the past with really inconsistent results and threatened to buy a home size roaster but never pulled the trigger

I haven't approached any of the local roasters about buying bulk green beans but getting them shipped in doesn't save me much if any money when shipping is factored in

The Kirkland Columbian is very nice and very consistent and easy to come by without even going into Anchorage to Costco

Plus my daughter usually grabs me a bag when she makes her Costco runs

There is a small roaster down in Homer where I always stop and see what's fresh and pick up a few pounds for variety

Alaska actually has a LOT of small roasters that turn out some amazing coffees but generally a 12 oz bag costs as much or more than the 3 lb bag from Kirkland

They have to make a profit but I am not putting their kids through college
