Makita makes some really good stuff.
I use Milwaukee, and have had really good luck.
I had one 1/4" impact that the switch went bad. They warranteed it. 2 batteries that they warrantied.
Sawzall broke the crank shaft. It was too old to warranty. Gave it to my nephew. He fixed it and still uses.
Just had my LED handheld light go out. Havent looked into that yet.
I beat on everything ive got nearly everyday at work. Its been pretty good so far.

To me they both have the best platforms out there. I did a pretty deep dive on all the battery power tools because I was looking to switch. Ultimately chose Makita because they had the ope tools I was most interested in.

The Dewalt flexvolt stuff was compelling, but the dirty little secret is that amp hour capacity drops when you go from 20v to 60v. As an example the 6 ah battery drops to 2 ah when the cells in the battery switch from parallel to series to put that 60volts out. You get the benefit of higher efficiency with the higher voltage but it isn't exactly what the marketing hype would lead everyone to believe.

Really the point is pick your poison and stick with what you like. They all make pretty gooder stuff.

Nah I's still gots em... they never dropped sew she couldn't find em...

I'm okay. Gots a pinched nerve just below/under my left shoulder. Feels like someone prison shived me. Kinda made tree work miserable today. Think I'll chase a couple flexeril with some bourbon and maybe smoke a bowl for good measure and call it a night.
My man that's what I'm talking about.

John, I’m fully invested in Makita now. Need a sawsall for some of the backyard demo and was trying to decide which one. I think I’m just going basic and if that one fails get the better brushless one. I love stopping in at Acme when I am in Minni, that just isn’t going to happen anytime soon.
Go hit up the HD clearance area, my local has a lot of "old" Makita stuff marked down since they just redid the displays.

Dude!
I can take 1/2 a Flexoril and drink 2 beers, and I'm out for 12 hours.
Still have the same bottle I got 10 years ago. Wicked lil bastids!
I think of them as a Godsend, I jacked my back up last week and those things work great for me with out making me groggy. Might help I'm 265 lbs.

That's why I chose them.

And after watching AvE tear down that sorry piece of *s-word dewalt chainsaw I knew what I was avoiding.

My system is a little different than most. Basically it takes more drugs to do what they should for "normal" people. They don't make me all that tired either Wayne. Hence the bourbon and bowl of indica...

What would you do?

My own personal vehicle: delete the whole cat/resonantor system, run Catless headers, 1.5" pipe and either a glasspack, cherry bomb or Magnaflow race muffler with an aftermarket tip.

Customer: offer replacement options and if they wanna gut the cat (no inspections) offer them that option as well. IMHO it's the way to go. Delete cats, delete def systems. Delete it all. Lol

All so it can sound like a feral cat being gang raped by a herd of water buffalo?
Best to just leave it stock.

Thats for the Twinkie Boys that cruise the cul de sac in a lifted tricked out 3/4 ton diesel that never leaves pavement or pulls a trailer.

almost forgot about the Browning sticker on the rear window.
