Good evening fellas. It's not quite bedtime quite yet.

Contemplating what to do with a '12 Malibu with a P0010 code showing up with the intake VVT side stuffs. Car has 62k miles, so barely out of break-in mileage.

That's a solenoid code.
The intake solenoid is the one with the gray connector, towards the front of the car.
Replace it, they fail regularly.
When you pull it out, if the screens are full of metallic debris you also have a chain guide failure happening. If it's clean or just some oil sludge, replace it and carry on.

No. I'd actually go for the oem on those. I see plenty of new aftermarket ones come in that are junk and have to hear about how they just replaced it and that cannot possibly be the issue.
Rock auto should have the AC Delco part or I'd figure your local dealer should have them. I think we usually have 6 or so in stock unless there's a shortage.
