I feel for my local dealer, he has a pretty small shop but this will be at least the 4th line of zero turns he has to stock/ show.
Very limited at the moment and lots of dealers can’t get them, not forcing anyone to sell them. Where my wife works only 4-5 out of the 13 stores have them. They are also selling gas push mowers that they actually build it’s the exact same mower they sold in Europe that used to be the Viking brand. Stihl bought Viking in 1992 and they’ve made walk behind and regular riders since then.

What ever happened to strap-on ?
They got bought by an investment firm and they’re trying to revive Briggs. Im thinking Stihl may be testing the waters with the z-turns with thought of maybe buying the Ferris/simpicity line from the investment firm. They also are available with a Kawasaki and the walk behinds have kohler.

Good dose of high zinc added to the oil for break in?
No need with break-in specific oil. Good for up to 500 miles as long as there’s no bad occurrences during the initial run-in. When I checked the oil after it ran for 30 mins, it was very clean. The piston and rings weren’t touched, only the cam and lifters replaced after it wiped out a lifter a few years ago.

I've never used their stuff, but the most I will spend is on Wera, Park Tool, Knipex, Fiskars, and other German and European tools. Most of my other stuff is Harbor Freight. I am especially not going to buy any Snap-off now that they are using e-girls to market their overpriced junk.

I don't see much of a difference between the two though...

I know my dad @dall will probably attack me and start a flame war over this post...

I'm no Sherlock Forking Holmes, but I think Ryan was referring to Jason Stratton, AKA, Strap-on, AKA jmssaws. Not Briggs & Stratton.

🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Good to see you acknowledging Dallas as your Dad.

The first step to fixing a problem: Define what the problem is.

You'll go places in life, since you are able to see the problem.
