We bring ours to the dump. The county shop burns it in heating stoves.
Same here

In Hawaii you got these oil change boxes when you bought a filter and oil

About a half cubic foot, lined with a super heavy plastic bag, filled with shredded paper and cardboard

You drained the oil into it and put the filter in there, tied it off with a super heavy twist tie, folded the top down, and threw it in the dump

There was a 35-40 car pileup on the highway between here and Anchorage earlier today

It was on a bridge over the Knik river that is notorious for icing up due to the dense fog created when the outgoing glacial river meets the incoming tide

People simply won't slow down and drive appropriately for the conditions

Used motor oil is great for setting fence posts.
Pour it in the hole insert post fill with dirt.
The dirt firms up like concrete and oil stops rust and rot.
I can't remember where it was but somewhere I have lived in decades past spread used oil on dirt roads to keep dust down

🤔

Years ago we had an oiled dirt 1/2 mile racetrack. It was billed as the fastest 1/2 mile on dirt.
It would get so packed that by the end of the night you could get smoke coming off the tires.

Yeah, conditions were fine, what could have possibly gone wrong...

Hopefully no one was seriously hurt. Someone should have followed my lead and stayed off the highway this morning.
