Neither. Block heater.

Looked worse than it was.

Got it out already. Just detached the forks and drove it out.
mine has block heater too
the ether setup is a small copper tube going from intake to the dash
it has a cap on the bottom and sticks out a couple inches
not sure how to work it

The 1120 I had was set up with a manifold heater. That worked real well.

I like the block heater. My tractor also has glow plugs but it starts so much easier with the heater. I was always told that ether isn’t good for them and can make them dependent on it to start over time?? No real experience with it though.

Anyone who has lived in Alaska for more than 1 winter and has to park outside has a block heater cord hanging out of the front of their ride

In the bush I also had pan heaters silicone sealed to the oil pan and the auto tranny as well as a battery mat to deal with temps down to 30-40 below

i dont usually have any trouble starting mine until below 20
i dont plan on being outside doing anything then
just wondered what models they offered it for

not sure about them getting dependent on ether or not but to have that option from factory is saying something
cant remember how cold it was when randy came for the ls motor and we ran my tractor

You young people have *s-wordty taste in music.....now, get the hell offa muh damn lawn.

Every generation gets a little wilder.

I remember when I was a kid, my mom and her sisters telling a story how their parents had a fit over Elvis when he was new on the scene in 50's, his lyrics, the rock & roll beat and how he danced on stage. It was new to my grandparents, they were used to 30's folk stuff, not rock & roll.

I told my & her sisters, Elvis puts me to sleep, and I played them some Pantera. They didn't even listen to the entire song, they said their ears were bleeding, and they did not understand a single word that was sang, or was screamed as my one aunt said.

Supposedly, the ether knock can weaken the piston rings.
Isn’t it “cylinder washing”? Either way I think it’s just common sense, don’t load it with ether right off the first crank in 10f weather. Crank it for a few seconds to get oil moving, then short spits.

The timber jacks came factory with ether canister holder
