Dallas. Andy is talking about you.He works harder than some in this thread lol
Thank you Adam for filling in the blanks. Makes much more sense now. At least I understand the concept now. Was always puzzled before. Many of my customers watch cricket regularly. (Indians, dot!). But I can't understand them well enough to ask them to explain it.Yes Larry. That's pretty much the main idea. Keep your wickets intact, and score runs by hitting the ball away from fielders long enough to make it to the other end of the 20yd pitch before the ball is returned.
If the ball makes the "boundary" of the field on the ground you get 4 runs, no need to run. On the full, 6 runs.
See above. A cricketer might run umpteen singles of 20yds, or twos or threes. But boundaries is the idea.
That's when the bowler knows he fugged up.
My dad @cus_deluxe has been to high level cricket while he was in Australia, perhaps he can explain some of this in Murican a bit better.
Or we can let it die.
Had a 300 win mag in my youth. Helped me develope a flinch that took years to fix. Shot one recently and my extra mass has tamed the recoil. Would be a nice thing to have, but not really needed. Hard to find places to stretch the legs of the rifles I have. Wish I had the land for 1000yds.Whatever needs shootin.
