In a church yard around the corner there was a large red oak that lost a main limb so they decided to remove the tree. The stump is 4' across.Just another red oak we found today. They are blown down everywhere.

It's very sandy in my area, seems the roots typically go down as much as out here. Anything that uproots leaves a big crater.
