Usually rolling patrols here. We have a problem with excessive speeders (30KMH over) and they tend to focus on those. It might help that I drive an all black Explorer that could be one of theirs but I never get a second look doing 116 in a 100, even in Tamara’s Trailblazer. One time I thought I was done for, was about 10pm and pitch dark, cruising at 116 pulled up behind a black Explorer thinking, nice truck, like mine but newer. Changed lanes to go around him and as I pulled along side looked over and saw the big screen for his computer. Figured, if I slow down now for sure he’s going to stop me so I left the cruise on and completed my pass. Never flashed a light or anything.

My oldest son has a single DUI and he is not allowed into Canada, passport or not

Thankfully I don't have any DUI convictions. Came super close twice. That was enough for me.

I won't touch booze, unless I know my butt will be parked for the night. I never get behind the wheel anymore, even if I've only had one drink.

I had been helping a friend put a engine in a Camaro...we had a few beers while we worked. When we were done I went to get something to eat, was driving too fast on a wet road and slid off in the ditch. Highway Patrol had my car towed and took me in.....I blew one point over the legal limit.

Here the focus is excessive speed, texting/distracted driving and seatbelts. For it it feels odd not to have my belt done up and I always plug my phone in for hands free talk and text.

I was plowed and should not of been driving. I was very thankful he cut me some slack. My two friends that were with me, Jamie & Todd, each had a DUI from this officer. They were both in shock he gave me a break.

2nd time, years later in CO, got pulled over after I'd had a few after work, I failed the road side test, officer did not have a breathalyzer with him, he took me downtown, there was a pile of people at the station (county fair weekend) time it was my turn to blow in the machine, I blew just under the legal limit. A few officers had a powwow about my numbers, sergeant stepped in and said we can't charge him for what his numbers might have been, only for what they are now, cut him loose. I was set free.

No passport needed?

I don’t have a passport, but with my Enhanced Drivers License, I am supposed to be able to cross the Canadian border and back without any other paperwork. I haven’t tried it yet, but some friends from town here have gone bear hunting and crossed the border with just the EDL.

We have those pecker head son of a bìtches around here that purposely go 6mph under the limit on a perfect day.
I bet I pass a cop a month on the multi lane roads around here.
I have no problem passing them going 2mph over. Speedometers are only required to be within 3mph accuracy.

I pass those mfers doing 5-10 over the posted limit or whatever the traffic around me is doing.
They don't give two squirts of beaver piss how fast you are going down here, as long as you arent going WAY faster than the normal flow of traffic and weaving in and out of lanes like the stupid ones here do.
Just keep up and don't be stupid keeps traffic moving.
If you need to go slower, just stay as far right as you can, that includes the shoulder...
