I graduated from high school in 2016 and now that I'm back in school with kids that are 5-6 years younger than me, I can confirm the slang has completely changed and I generally don't know if I'm being complimented or insulted.

Afternoon knuckle humpers.
Sanded on this Lodge Dutch oven for awhile.
I hate the finish Lodge puts on their cast iron.
This one was a freebie, so cant complain much.
Its not a camp oven, but I'll make it work with a trivet. Bought the camp lid for it at the Lodge factory last year. Gave 5 bucks for it in the blems section.

Its far from perfect, but feels a lot better. Started with 60, and worked up the 3000 grit. Getting heat cycled with a light oil rub down.

I went to see my mother out law first. It was really depressing. Ive known her 25 years and she did not recognize me. She had no clue about the neck brace on her. She gets to go home Tuesday. She has to wear the brace 2 more weeks. What I worry about is she has been in rehab for a month. Will she recognize her husband and home? Please send positive thoughts for her. Her name is Renee. The birthday party for Arty was a good change. It is good to see new life growing and learning. He had a blast just kicking a soccer ball around. The smile and laughter is contagious. Sorry about the long post. Peace love chainsaws.

Prayer of help and health for Renee. And for the family. Has to be tough for everyone.

The first winter we were out in the bush in Bethel Alaska we had a storm come off the Bering sea, actual temps dropped in the 40 below range, and the airport recorded wind chills of 104 below zero

They changed the formula for computing wind chill a few years later but in anybody's book, that was COLD

When I worked at the school there the kids had to play outside until it hit either 20 below actual or wind chill and they didn't cancel school until it hit 70 below windchill

But it's a "dry cold"
