Usually just lower the motor with it on the trailer and let the water drain completely. The only thing I have had any problem with is remembering this boat has a wash down system and I forget to let it run dry before freezing weather. Since there is usually never a full month that I don't take it out, I would have to run antifreeze through it every time. About the only thing you have to do is fog the cylinders if you are going to store it for a while.Do you winterize outboards @Only the Tony ?
Suck the water pump thru with some antifreeze or some such?
