Mornin meatpackers. Sure is a lot of weird weather going on. Constantly retuning the saws the past few days. I should be glad I have my saws but cutting is more fun than tuning. I need to get my wood splitting back in priority status. So much to do without the time to get it all done. Run rabbit run...

I suppose so, but I doubt I'd move to any urban area. I want out of Pennsylvania for sure. Cost of living is way too high, Pittsburgh is one of the worst job markets in the country because it's not business friendly. I don't need the harsh winters, or the rotting vehicles either. There's a litany of other reasons, but I won't jump down that rabbit hole.
Make a spreadsheet, that's what I did. TN checked all my boxes. No regrets!

Good morning men, another warm day for late October, been dry and rain free too. Could use something to reduce the threat of fire. Hope all my neighbors use their heads and don't burn right now.

Get out there and destroy some trees buddy. Are you still using that hand filed square chain
Honestly, no. It was a good lesson in filing. But I absolutely blow through sharpening. The volume of cutting I do, the inky way square would make sense for me is with a grinder. In fact, my hand round filing is beginning to suffer. I can quick feiod dress a chain still... But ever since Branden (boss man) bought an Oregon grinder, we just run with that. It makes a sharp fuggin chain in a fraction of the time. We do still set rakers with the wcs guide plates though. That's key.

Morning / Evening All. We didn’t get any of the snow forecast for yesterday, it was slow and didn’t start until after we went to bed.

About 1/2 fallen but should be gone again by end of day.

You're not planning on moving away from such a hellscape?
