Two dead birds equals a quadruped! Just sayin'

I don't care for birds or any foul, I will eat it if needed, or if someone made it and put it in front of me, but I don't go out of my way to make it or have it on my g-store list.

Fish, pork, beef. Is the meat I like and buy often.

We ate birds a lot growing up, just kinda burned me out on it.

You should try fish fresh. You might like it. Lol

Seriously thou, world would be a boring place if we all liked the same things, and then there would not be enough fish for me.
I like certain kind of fish. I like tuna, catfish, Mahi Mahi, walleye. Fookin hate salmon. Blech. I'm also very selective about where it comes from. I love shellfish. I like shrimp but I've gotten picky about it because it's hard to find fresh, clean shrimp.
Can't like this at all Joe
Me either. She's gonna be off work for a while, and two more surgeries isn't gonna be fun.

Birds have to have fat, either skin, or subcutaneous fat like duck. Plain white meat is like eating cardboards. Would rather have squirrel than chicken.

Never met a healthy looking vegan or vegetarian. I understand the desire to not be cruel to animals, but I can't wrap my head around the lack of understanding that you need protein. Soy doesn't count.

She will go into an Asian restaurant and try to order a vegan tofu dish and try to make them understand no soy sauce, no sugar, no MSG, no this that or the other and they just look at her like "why don't you order the cardboard braised in water with a side of air"

She basically has to go to some damn hippie place where all the brain dead tofu munchers think the way she does and trust me, I don't go to those places with her and her family

Family dinners like Thanksgiving or Christmas are always an adventure

I thank my lucky stars every day I don't have to deal with vegan stuff. Daughter always wants me to come over for veggie bowls. I decline. In fact, whenever my wife makes a dish with skinless chicken, I always say it's good, but would be better with meat in it.

Just because someone is working on a doctorate, doesn't mean they know everything. They just regurgitate what they are taught. Red meat bad! Lol

Two of my sisters are vegetarian, one is very close to vegan. It's nothing to do with animal cruelty thing for them, they just think eating meat is gross. My younger sister says "you wouldn't want to eat their butthole or their peckers or their eyeballs, why would you want to eat any other part?" I guess it makes some sense.

But with two vegetarians in the house, growing up we had a lot of vegetarian dinners. Lots of places besides soy to get protein. We never ate soy anything. We had chickpeas, peanuts, lentils, broccoli, avocado, all kind of beans. It really isn't hard to get protein. Vegetarian chili is still one of my favorite dinners. Ground beef is good in it too, but it doesn't make a ton of difference to me.

All that said, I still prefer meat.

Well, verdict from the orthopedic doctor wasn't great. Mom completely tore her rotator cuff and that is gonna have to be operated on and also her hand took some of the fall too and a couple of the screws came loose, so they have to re-operate on it. I'm trying to look for the silver lining but I'm not seeing it. They are gonna do the hand Monday. Not sure when the shoulder is gonna get done yet.
That ain't good. Help and health for your mom Joe. What's her name? I'd like to say a prayer of healing for her.

Red meat is good. Green meat is bad.
Amen. And stuff.

And phuc the person(s) that shot your calf! If you shoot it too eat it is one thing that was just cruelty.
It lived a couple of days with a bullet in its head. I wasn't sure what was wrong with it till I got a good look at its eye.

No it plain sucks. I'm here to help her with whatever she needs, but it's frustrating for her and I feel helpless not being able to make it heal any faster or hurt any less. Going through one surgery was a big enough PITA. Two more is just plain lousy.

I appreciate the prayers Randy and I know she does too. Mom's name is Mary.
