Like this multi-pro tailgate..
View attachment 392596

Does the release system for it really need to run through 3 relays???
View attachment 392597

It doesn't.
Except someone with an engineering degree said it did.
That's because it was probably engineered by the marketing department, not the engineering department. The whole "Multipro" tailgate is a big marketing gimmick. It seems like a really bad one, at that. I can't see how it would possibly be very functional. If they wanted a gimmicky tailgate, the split gate like Ford and Ram are doing is a much simpler, less failure-prone design.

Fuking GM.

Blaming the engineers again.... see above.

@Mastermind Hey Munkee, here’s a helluva car deal. Galfriend was looking for another suv and one of her mothers’ church friends she’s known for decades just happened to be wanting to get rid of her 2011 Lincoln MKX. Lady paid cash for a 2023 loaded/every option avail Lincoln Nautilus Black Label edition. The ‘11 MKX has every avail option…MyLincoln Touch, Microsoft Sync, 20” wheels, 3.7L V6, front sun roof/rear moon roof, FWD not AWD, you name it it’s got it. Only has 69K miles. It books excellent condition at just under $15K. Garage kept its entire life. This lady offered it up to the galfriend for $7K then dropped it to $6500 because it’s due an oil change, maintenance interval, lol. Needless to say the galfriend went and pulled out $6500 cash and it belongs to her now. Money is no object nor hurdle to this lady hence the helluva deal she gave her.

So my little town of 470 people might lose our volunteer ambulance service… Nobody wants to volunteer these days anymore. Can’t get anyone new to take pride in the community and step up to help. Truly sad..

We had a town hall meeting tonight with the ambulance and fire crew, and a State Representative, our County Commissioner, the media, etc.. Hopefully some people step up, or it won’t be long before the burnout of the current 12 volunteers takes its toll and they fold.
