Social media will be the downfall of our nation. People's thoughts and actions are being manipulated into thinking that their fellow countrymen are their enemies. That will not end well.

One of my good friends told me making mistakes doesn't make you dumb, not being aware that you make them is what makes you dumb.

Made cents to me.

I had to run a Milwaukee impact all
Day today
The homeowner took off with my subcompact makita with the 2.0 battery
The Milwaukee was too big to fit in between walls to run a spade bit.
One of the guy's has been running flex tools
Tools are the strongest of any he's tried but the battery's have been junk
He was on his third impact/drill/saw set the even when not on charge the battery's were overheating and oozing
Melted plastic looking stuff out
it smelled like an electrical fire he said.
Lowes swapped them all out for new but he was worried and switched to kobalt tools now.
Those Flex tools used to be super. Especially when they were made in Germany. I’ve got a few tools from Flex they rock. Some of the best built tools I’ve ever owned. I’m not sure if there’s any difference in the reliability of the 20v versus 18v stuff. We only get the 18v version here.

I don't know much in life..maybe only 4 or 5 things..that's it...and I'm LOADED with common sense and practicality, other than that I don't have much to offer the world.

Another one I hear all the time is.."these damn kids and their phones"..lol..that one gets me every time.

I know as many people if not more in their 40s, 50s, and 60s looking at their phone all day..it's gotta be exhausting to be that full of sh!t.
Truth! And common sense isn’t so common anymore.

I’ve also witnessed the older generation getting sucked into their phones - my dad is one of them. Sometimes my mom has to literally tell him to set his phone down and be present with us at family gatherings… He gets sucked into the interwebz too.. Once he gets corrected he’s usually apologetic like he didn’t even realize he was missing out.

I have a hard time calling people stupid...I've said this before..

If you don't know what I know and I don't know what you know who's the idiot ?
You have and I’ve always agreed with you on this 100%. I wish more people had this perspective. A lot of hurt has been dished out because someone treated another poorly simply because they truly didn’t know or had never seen something before.

People I know that are far ahead in life always told me to approach everyone I meet as though I have something to learn from them (there's exceptions) and I'll be better off for it.

I've never used any of the flex he was the only guy who had bought any I know.
He said his boss bought a set a couple year's ago they are still working fine.
Milwaukee, DeWalt, makita, metabo are the most popular with the crew's here
I've just seen a few guy's running rigid and Ryobi
I tried that kobalt impact out it's a lot heavier and larger than my makita's.
Too much variety I stick with one platform for the battery's

OPE is my only outlet to cyber space...

My days are getting shorter on the internet, I don't think I can take much more.
Ahh that’s life.. the longer you live the less patience you have. Especially with people that you’ve never met before. The Internet is full of taking things out of context. .!

When you know people, you can read between the lines better….
However I can say when I’ve been to a pub and I listen to people and there are times when I just completely switch off or use an excuse and I go to the toilet and never come back to that conversation.
The same goes for any Internet forum!….. but nobody’s watching you go to the toilet.

A few yrs ago I got dragged into a fire that I didn’t see coming, I guess were all virgins… once.
if peeps find that trigger of yours /mine/others etc. they just carryon trying to pull it … just for laughs (for them and not for you)

I guess I just limit myself to the places that I frequent , hoehouse/ pub/Bar/casino/friends/home & work…. Etc 🤔

That old saying comes to mind, “it wears thin after a while”
I do find many topics here interesting but filter out out the trash
