In Winona there’s a GoodYear store, that also has a GoodYear retread facility attached to it. They told us that there’s 3 different grades of their tires: the premium of their tires get sold through their own stores. The “B” grade get sent to distributor warehouses that mostly get sent to smaller mom and pop repair shops, and dealerships, etc. And lastly the “C” grade tires get sent to Walmart, Sams Club, etc.

Walmart has their own spec tires for sale only in their stores but the tires sold from the Goodyear storefront, Jimmy bobs auto repair or the dealer are all the same.

Deez Coopers I just bought have 'Made in the USA' and a plant code of 'UT' on da sidewalls....made in the Texarkana, Arkansas plant. But it don't necessarily y mean jack when it comes down to it. Cooper has mfg'ng plants here in the US, Mexico, China, Serbia, England. Goodyear actually owns Cooper Tires and has since '21. I was surprised to read that Cooper Tire and Rubber owned other pretty popular subsidiary tire companies...Dick Cepek, Mickey Thompson, Mastercraft, Roadmaster, Dean, Starfire, and Avon tires in the UK. *s-wordt just made every damn where nowadays and has been for years...ain't no tellin'.
