I resemble that remark. Shop full of saws n axes waiting for me and here I am on the couchFughin slackers.
Present and accounted forFughin slackers.
Only Tony, your Grandpa may have known my Dad.
Dad claimed he was the second American to set foot on Anzio beech. Went from Private to Sargent that day.
He drank beer and used baco heavily. IMO he wore his scars very well. To me he was ten foot tall and bullet proof, and VERY humble. I carried big respect for him and his buds.
He didn't say much about it. I can remember a few things he said about the war, but not many details. Dad remembers him having shrapnel occasionally breaking through his skin though officially he was not wounded. Dad also talks him saying that he remembers the face of every person he killed. He was with the 5th Army which according to records were not forward when Mussolini was hung, but he mentioned seeing that happen. Being a front line photographer may have had something to do with that. Dad has all his paperwork and medals. I'll try to find out what unit he was in.My wife’s uncle went from Anzio, through Cassino to the Battle of the Bulge. He made it back, started a family, built a successful career, and didn’t talk about it until the late 90s. That guy was harder than a coffin nail. They don’t make them like that anymore. God rest his soul.
@Mastermind any contact from @hoskvarna ?
Maybe just whisper if he's OK but can't be bothered with us diks anymore.
This is from another thread…yesterday or todayChatted with Mark @hoskvarna in a conversation recently. I will only share a small bit. Leg is continuing to be a issue. Sounds like he could use some in person visits from peps. He likely has lots more on his plate than many of us could understand...
I am trying to set up a multiple stop trip that includes a personal visit, along with some business in a neighboring town.
Later fellas...

Still done more work than Dallas this year.I talked to my friend he's a foreman for a construction company
They were doing work In Charleston WV
A residential neighborhood starting last monday and had roped off a side street to work.
In his escavator he dug down 18ft to replace a line.
Him and his two workers were in the hole digging with shovels.
When they heard a little kid say he'd direct traffic
They climb out and this probably 6 year old boy had climbed in their trucks and took all the safety cones out
He'd blocked a 4 way to a single lane each and was waving them through.
Probably 30 car's backed up but they were following his direction's
Somebody probably reported the company for child labor violations.
The boy showed up tuesday in a safety vest and had a his own walkie and a big mag light
To beat people with I guess.
He stayed out of the way waving car's through
They gave him 10.00 a day and food
He apologized today because kindergarten reopens tomorrow and he'll have to miss work.
Is that dalice doing his cardio workout. Is this you riding the SoCal beach in yer thong?
